Lancôme - Youth Activating Skincare Collection

Actually, I didn’t plan to buy more Lancôme products. Since I have too many (barely) untouched products waiting for me to use and to test.

However, I have heard that in June – this month – Fenwick will, like each year around this time, run a Lancôme promotion. Hence, I couldn’t resist of not to “have a look” *hehe*
I bought the Lancôme Advanced Genifique Set since it was really great value for £59. It is pricey. However, if remember it right – the Christmas gift set (Lancôme Génifique Serum & Lancôme Génifique Yeux) was about £48 something but without all the additional extras. Two of them in original size even!
Have a look by yourself :)
Lancôme Génifique Advanced Youth Activating Concentrate 30ml
Lancôme Génifique Youth Activating Day Cream 15ml
Lancôme Génifique Repair SC Youth Activating Night Cream 5ml //
Lancôme Génifique Eye Light-Pearl 5ml // Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector 7ml
Lancôme Hydra Intense Hydrating Gel Mask 100ml
Lancôme Bi-Facil 125ml
Lancôme Galatéis Douceur 50ml //
Lancôme Tonique Douceur 50ml
There was even a free make-up class voucher in the bag
I am thinking of taking the Get, Set, Glow Class...

I got these in addition to test since I told the sales consultant that my skin breaks out from Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector. I don't know why my skin doesn't like Visionnaire :( Hence, she suggested the Visionnaire cream... I am still bit sceptical due to my past bad experience with this line...
Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream
Anyway, I am really looking forward to try out the mask since I was on a look-out for hydrate face mask anyway. Consider the RRP £33. Plus, the RRP £21 for Lancôme Bi-facil. What a bargain.

Have you tried any of the listed products before? If yes, what were your experiences?

Thank you so much for reading!

Little Love Potions by Benefit

I was supposed to do this post last month when I bought them >.< I’m bad with keeping my blog up-to-date. But better late than never *haha* Plus, having a feature about the “Little Love Potions” by Benefit now somehow “matches” with the season currently. November is almost saying “good-bye” to us :( Hence, it’s December – the famous and maybe one the most exciting month of the whole year?! As (almost) everyone is counting the days till Christmas and then till New Year?! :p On the one hand we can’t wait to receive “our” presents but on the other hand… what presents shall I but for “xyz”... @.@

If your “xyz” person is a beauty lover, then I would suggest buying this kit as it contains of 10 different sample size products to test. Moreover, the sizes are perfect for travel and make-up bags. Hence, you can’t go very wrong with these dinky size products :)
The reason why I bought them was I have heard a lot about Benefit’s High Beam and POREfessional. But I’m quite “new” to Benefit products; hence, I didn’t want to spend money on an original size product.
Moreover, I was on a look-out for a bronzer at that time – therefore, it came very handy as it contains one. Also, It’s Potent! Eye Cream as I am currently using the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++ by Benefit as well. From 10, there were already 4 that caught my attention to TRY. Hence, I decided to give it a try and bought the gift set for £29.50.

The Benefit Little Love Potions set contains the Top 10 best selling products: The POREfessional primer, It’s Potent! Eye Cream, High Beam highlighter, Posietint, Stay Don’t Stray primer in light/medium, Watt’s Up! highlighter, BADgal Lash mascara, That Gal primer, Hoola bronzing powder and Ultra Plush lip gloss in Hoola.
I don’t regret this buy, even though I didn’t find use in all of these products. However, these are the products, that I would buy the original size next time :)
Ha – not bad, right? Out of 10, I have discovered 6 new favourites :p This doesn’t mean that I didn’t like the other 4 products… it’s just e.g. the mascaras by Lancôme is still my favourites :D

Have you tried this gift set yet? If yes, what were your favourite Benefit products? Also, did you miss anything else from their “best selling products” which should actually be included as well?

Nov.'13 - Haul

Actually, I wasn’t planning to have so soon another Bodyshop Membership card. My old one just expired last month, however, there was a promotion on Groupon.co.uk – a £15 voucher for a value of up to £30 (50% saving) Plus, a free Membership card, which would normally cost £5. I couldn’t resist of not buying this voucher *haha*

This is what I have bought for an exchange of my voucher
1. Headband (£4)
2. Facial Buffer (£4)
3. Comb (£4) – I already own a Bodyshop comb but this one is made of wood
4. White kohl (£8)
5. Eye shadow (£7) – Colour Crush
6. Born Lippy – Pomegranate Lip Balm (£3) – My old one is almost all. So, this one comes very handy.

All in all it would have cost me £30 (excluding the membership card) – Good deal, huh? :)

iWhite

Don’t we all wanna have these Hollywood white teeth? A normal person would brush their teeth 2-3 times a day. Some maybe more often if they carry their toothbrush and toothpaste with them in their “pocket/ handbag” all the time. But let’s a say an “average” person like me *lol*I brush my teeth in the morning and before I go to bed. In some cases, also after lunch. Even though, friends are saying that I have “white” teeth but I feel that these are far away from the “Hollywood white”. There are toothpastes that offer whitening effect & co. However, for me the main job that toothpaste should do is “protect” my teeth from cavity. Hence, occasionally I need some additional “help” to keep them whiter than they are :)

When I went to Boots Store to look for teeth whitening products I came across iWhite – Instant teeth whitening – up to 8 shades whiter. Normal retail price would be £29.95 for 10 prefilled ready-to-use trays. Quite pricey almost £3 per tray @.@ But when I bought them it was on offer – reduce to £19.96, hence, I gave it a go :)
Was it worth? I can’t really say “yes” currently as so far I have only used one tray. It is recommended to brush teeth gently before each application and that the hands should be clean and dry. The upper and the lower teeth can be whitened at the same time. I only tried it on my upper teeth first. After “wearing” them for 20minutes I discarded them immediately. I think 20minutes is also enough as it felt a bit uncomfortable to have them in my mouth. Plus, I had to be careful not to get any of the gel into my mouth >.< After removing the tray from my teeth I rinse my mouth with water. But I didn’t feel any difference than before the 20minutes of using it >.< I don’t think I have done anything wrong as I was following the instruction. It is suggested to be used in 5 consecutive days or once in a while. I think I will go for the second option as one should know to “aggressive” whitening can “damage” the teeth. Hence, I wanna take it slowly. But still no main before – after effect could be noticed from my first use...

Benefit - Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++

Recently, I have started using Lancôme Génifique and Lancôme Génifique Yeux. As I am finished with the Clarins Eclat du Jour line – I wanted to try something new as this product line didn’t really convince me. Moreover, I want to finally use the Lancôme Gift Set, which I received as a present for X-Mas last year.

However, these are serums not moisturizer. Therefore, I needed to buy a moisturizer as well. As I have already mentioned in one of my previous posts that I love Lancôme products, however, with moisturizer I was a bit careful as my skin is still young and I don’t want to start completely with anti-ageing products. Which cream shall I use once I really need an anti-aging product in let’s say 20 years from now? Plus, the serum is already kind of preventing my skin from ageing. Hence, I was kind of reluctant to buy a moisturizer in this category as well. Dunno if I am talking non-sense here.

Anyway, I have decided to go for the Benefit brand. I bought today Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++ (for £ 20.50) (SPF was a main criterion as summer is coming, even though I can’t see much of it yet).
The bottle contains 50.3ml and it suitable for all skin types. It says that it “protects & comforts the skin with an oil-free, lightweight formula containing Benefit’s exclusive ultra moisturizing tri-radiance complex. This complex delivers immediate hydration by helping to capture & maintain water on the surface of the skin. The moisture barrier is further reinforced by developing the skin’s reserves of water for long-term hydration. SPF 15 PA++ protects the skin against sun damage with a broad-spectrum blend of UVA & UVB filters.”

This moisturizer has a nice smell. However, according to reviews on other sites it smells nice but tastes horrible if one gets it close to the mouth area (ooooh – we shall see – I'll give a review in ~2 weeks after using it...)

What I like about Benefits is that their product always has a nice design. This one looks like a water bottle.

Moreover, I bought the Benefit Real – Beyond Mascara (for £19.50)! So all in all I spent £40.

Currently, they run a promotion week at Fenwick – for any two products that you buy, you will receive a mini gift set (value £15). The gift set contains of the lip-gloss Ultra Shines Dancing Queen – in original size, Hello FlawlessBrightening Make-up (3.0ml) and Benefit Eye Crème (3.0ml).
